Last Saturday’s draw for the Irish Lotto saw a lucky player from Dublin win a life-changing prize of €1 million. A renowned Dublin newsagent has been identified as the location from where the winning Lotto Plus 1 ticket was sold last week. According to the lotto bosses, the ticket holder had bought their winning Quick Pick lotto ticket in Clontarf, Dublin 3 from the Cleary’s Mace Shop located on St. Gabriel’s Road.
It is a family-owned store and Darren Cleary, the son runs it for his parents, Mary and Fred Cleary. He was extremely delighted to discover that one of their customers was the newest Lotto millionaire in Ireland. He said that they were thrilled with the news and since the store is located in the heart of the Clontarf community, he was hoping that the winner would also belong to St. Gabriel’s Parish.
He added that they had spread the word about the ticket and told everyone to check their lottery tickets. He also said that it was an excellent day for the whole town. The numbers that were drawn in the Lotto Plus 1 are 04, 05, 06, 29, 46, 47 and 01 was the bonus number. The National Lottery stated that the lucky punter had not come forward as yet for claiming their prize. It also said that the win made them the 14th Lotto millionaire in Ireland in this year. Dublin players have been told to check their lottery tickets, so they don’t miss out on the great prize.
A spokesperson for the National Lottery said that they hadn’t heard from the Lotto winner, so were encouraging all players who had bought tickets for Saturday night’s draw to check their tickets carefully. As far as the main draw is concerned, it was worth €2,430,498, but the jackpot did not have any winner. The numbers that were drawn were 06, 08, 38, 39, 45 and 47 and 40 was the bonus number.
The Lotto Plus 2 draw had a prize worth €250,000, but there was no winner for this draw either. The numbers that were drawn were 08, 15, 34, 37, 41 and 42 and 05 was the bonus number.
