All players of the EuroMillions lottery have been urged to take a look at their tickets to see if they are the winner of the £5.4 million jackpot that remains unclaimed. The lucky winner had managed to match all five numbers, along with the two Lucky Star numbers. Therefore, their total prize is a whopping £54 957,242 and it was won in the draw conducted on June 10th, Friday.
Camelot, the National Lottery operator, said that at this point they could only disclose that the winning ticket had been purchased from a retail store and had not been bought online. It said that it was a life-changing win for the EuroMillions player and they were hoping the winner would come forward and claim their spectacular prize.
Unless the winner decides to reveal their identity to the public, there will be no information if the winner is an individual or part of a syndicate. A time period of 180 days is given to the players from the date of the draw for claiming their prize if they have the winning ticket. The National Lottery’s senior winners’ adviser, Andy Carter said that even though it had just been a week, but they were still urging all players of the EuroMillions draw on June 10thto check their tickets for a chance to win the massive prize.
He said that with such a massive prize, there are a lot of possibilities the winner can explore. Other than the £54.9 million prize that has not been claimed, this year has already seen some big prizes being given out. The draw conducted on February 4th saw an anonymous winner from the UK claim a massive £109 million prize. Moreover, the biggest ever EuroMillions prize was also won on May 10thworth a whopping £184 million by a couple from Cheltenham.
