A work syndicate turned out to be very lucky, as they were able to match five numbers in the EuroMillions draw, along with the Lucky Star number, helping them win a big prize.
All winners claim together
The work syndicate has a total of 19 members and all of them piled into the winners’ room of the National Lottery from Broderick to claim their prize.
This is the first big win for the syndicate from Co. Dublin after they had set it up in February of this year.
The prize that the 19 lucky players will share is €193,667, which means that every single member of the syndicate will walk away with a prize of €10,000.
The story
Alison Ennis, the head of the work syndicate, disclosed how they had gotten the winning ticket after playing for seven months.
She said that as they had formed the syndicate in February, they had been trying their luck for seven months.
She disclosed that it was her responsibility to collect the money and buy the tickets every week. She said that she had checked the tickets on the night of the EuroMillions draw and realized they had won.
She had immediately taken a picture of the ticket and sent it on their syndicate group chat and no one could believe it.
She said that everyone had been thrilled and had shared pictures of celebrating the win in their own homes.
She confirmed that the winning ticket was a Quick Pick one that he had purchased in Dublin 12 at the Circle K Westway service station located on Kylemore Road.
Winnings’ plans
The syndicate members talked about what they plan to do with their winnings. One member of the syndicate said that they had recently purchased a house, so this win had come at a great time.
Another syndicate member said that they wanted to re-do their bathrooms and they would certainly go ahead with it.
Likewise, some of the other syndicate members had a new back garden, new teeth, a first tattoo and a new car, amongst other things that they wanted and planned on getting with their winnings.
