A lucky lottery player in Kildare has won a prize of almost €80,000 in the Irish Lotto even though he did not even have a ticket.
The player chose to remain anonymous and had placed a €2 bet on Boyle Sports in which they had guessed four numbers that would be drawn on Saturday, 10th September in the Irish Lotto draw.
Schedule and Numbers
The Irish lotto draw was scheduled to happen at 8:00 p.m. and the lucky punter was counting their stars at the time.
The numbers that they had chosen to guess were 23, 24, 26 and 27 and they only needed two of them to be drawn in order to make a profit.
However, things turned out to be in their favor because they managed to guess not just two, but all four of the numbers that were drawn on Saturday.
This resulted in payouts triggered on about 11 bets, which included one that had of all four numbers with odds of 33,000/1.
Winnings
When the lucky punter’s entire winnings were calculated, they turned out to be a whopping €79,222 and they were able to land this prize from an investment of just €22.
A spokesperson for BoyleSports, Lawrence Lyons said that they had taken a bit hit at the weekend on the Irish Lotto.
But, he congratulated the lucky winner from Kildare who had managed to win a stunning prize of €79,200 with their bet.
