The National Lottery has introduced a new promotion named ’12 Draws of Christmas’ which are conducted with every EuroMillions draw.
The 8th draw of this promotion was conducted with the EuroMillions draw on Friday, December 9th, 2022, which had a jackpot of €17 million.
However, there were no winners for the jackpot in Friday night’s EuroMillions draw, which means the jackpot will roll over to the next drawing on Tuesday, December 13th, 2022, which will be €25 million.
The winners
There were a total of 10 winners of the ‘Ireland Only Raffle’, who won a prize of €50,000 each in Friday night’s EuroMillions lottery draw.
The ‘Ireland Only Raffle’ typically has 10 raffle codes that are generated with every EuroMillions draw and players usually win €5,000 each.
However, as part of the new promotion, the prize has been increased to €50,000 for every player and this is applicable on draws conducted between November 15th and December 23rd.
The lucky winners who scored the prize included three players from Dublin, one from Cork, two from Clare and one each from Offaly, Roscommon, Kildare and Galway.
The tickets
The player from Cork bought their ticket at the Bookstation, which is located in Blackpool Shopping Centre.
One winner from Dublin bought their ticket online, another got it from O’Brien’s Newsagents in Crumlin and the last one purchased it from the Maxol service station located on Ballymount Road in Walkinstown.
As for the two tickets in Clare, both of them were sold in the Spar, albeit different ones. One was located in Ennistymon on Main Street and the second was located on Turnpike Road in Ennis.
Entering the raffle
The ninth draw of the 12 draws’ promotions will take place on Tuesday, December 13th, 2022 and 10 more players will have the opportunity to win €50,000 each.
In order to try their luck, lottery players in Ireland do not need to do anything special. As long as they buy a EuroMillions lottery ticket, they are good to go.
They will be automatically entered into the ‘Ireland Only Raffle’, which is conducted with the EuroMillions draw.
Every ticket has a unique code, which works as the raffle number of the player. There are just three more draws remaining as part of the promotion, after which the prize will go back to €5,000 each.
