February is turning out to be a quiet month in terms of Mega Millions wins, as there was another drawing that has now come and gone without anyone claiming the jackpot.
The Mega Millions lottery jackpot was held on Friday, 10th February 2023, and had a jackpot of $50 million, which came with a cash value of $26.4 million.
No jackpot win
The winning numbers that were drawn in the Mega Millions lottery draw on Friday night were 20, 29, 30, 52 and 58, while 19 was the gold Mega Ball and 3X was the Megaplier.
Unfortunately, no one was able to match the numbers required for winning the jackpot, which means that the prize will now roll over to the next draw.
The next drawing of the Mega Millions lottery is now schedule to take place on Tuesday, February 14th, 2023 and it will have a jackpot of $67 million that comes with a cash value of $35.1 million.
Other wins
Even though there was no grand prize winner in the Friday night drawing of the Mega Millions lottery, there was one lucky player who managed to become an instant millionaire.
The player from South Carolina was able to hit the Match 5, which allowed them to win a prize of $1 million. Had they opted to buy the Megaplier option, they would have landed a prize of $3 million.
There were also five players who were able to hit the Match 4 and the gold Mega Ball, which allowed them to win $10,000 each.
None of these players had bought the Megaplier option with their ticket, or they would have increased their winnings to $30,000 each.
The rest of the prizes on Friday night in the Mega Millions lottery drawing were within the range of $2 and $1,500.
There were more than 470,000 tickets that won prizes at different levels in the Friday night drawing of the Mega Millions lottery.
Previous wins
While February has proven to be a quiet month that has not had any jackpot winners, the month of January has proven to be quiet historic.
There were four jackpot winners within four weeks. On January 13th, a single ticket-holder from Maine was able to land a whopping jackpot of $1.348 billion.
On January 17th, there was a winner of $20 million from New York, while January 24th and January 31st also saw two winners from Massachusetts.
Mega Millions drawings are held two times every week on Tuesday and Friday and players from 45 states, the US Virgin Islands and the District of Columbia can participate in them.
