UK’s Youngest Lottery Player Looks Unrecognizable after Shaving Hair

Euromillion

18 years after she won the life-changing jackpot, the youngest Lotto winner in Britain looks almost unrecognizable. Callie Rogers had been a 16-year-old, fresh-faced teenager when she won a whopping £1.8 million. She shared a picture of herself on Facebook, where she had a blonde buzz cut rather than her long brunette locks. The mother of four is now 33-years-old and she shaved off her hair for charity. She informed her social media followers that she had managed to raise £700 in donations for Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice called Jigsaw.

Ms. Rogers said that she had had many meltdowns since she shaved her head and seeing how long her hair was beforehand, but she was proud of herself because she had helped pay for the new garden play equipment that young children would use, including her son. She had written in an earlier post that getting her head shaved had been extremely scary, but the tears were worth it as she got to raise money for charity. This post came only weeks after the pierced and tattooed Ms. Rogers disclosed that she was penniless.

She revealed that 18 years after her lottery win, she was living on benefits. She was recently banned from driving after she had crashed her 4×4 into a hedge because she was high on cocaine. Ms. Rogers shared pictures of her son at the hospice on a new swing and said that these pictures reminded her of why she had shaved her hair. She had scooped up the lottery win while she was working for £3.60 an hour as a Co-op checkout girl. She used her winnings to buy designer clothes worth £300,000, get breast enhancement surgeries and host wild parties.

She gave her loved ones half a million pounds and has experienced numerous ups and downs over the years. Three years ago, she was brutally assaulted on a night out by two women. She appeared in court in March after she had tested positive for cocaine when she crashed her Hyundai 4×4 in Crosby, Cumbria through a farmer’s fence. She had veered off the road the previous December and along with her 31-year-old boyfriend, Jason Fearon, she had attempted to leave.

A police officer passing the scene of the crash had stopped her and she was pepper-sprayed. While she didn’t agree to take a breathalyzer, a drug wipe reading tested positive for cocaine. She admitted to not providing a specimen, got a driving ban for 22 months and an electric tag for 11 weeks that restricts her movements at night. She had also resisted an officer, which resulted in a £200 fine, with £100 payable to the policeman. Previously, she had said that winning big had proven to be too much at such a young age.

In 2013, she said that she only had £2,000 of her winnings, but she was happy. Ms. Rogers said that she had blown away on cash by living on takeaways, getting up late and partying with her so-called mates. She hadn’t known who to trust.
