Thanks to the Mega Millions and Lucky for Life drawings on Tuesday night, two lucky winners in Connecticut managed to hit the jackpot. Winning numbers 36, 41, 45, 51 and 56 helped an individual from Wallingford to win a whopping $1 million prize in the Mega Millions draw, along with a Megaplier number of 3 and the MegaBall number of 13.
The second resident hailed from South Glastonbury and they chose numbers 1, 5, 37, 44, and 48, along with a Lucky Ball of 6. This helped them secure a prize of $25,000 a year for their life. As per CT Lottery, the minimum guaranteed amount that’s paid to a Lucky for Life Winner is $25,000 a year for at least 20 years. However, winners who live longer will be able to receive the prize for their entire lifespan.
Now, CT Lottery is expected to draw a Powerball winner who will have a chance of walking away with a prize of $4 million. The two winners can claim their big prizes up until March 20th, 2022, after which their tickets will expire. People have to be at least 18 or order to purchase public lottery tickets, while people have to be 21 or older for placing sports wagers.
