After the EuroMillions draw on Friday, August 26th, one lucky raffle ticketholder in Ireland has now become richer by €1,000,000.
As for the jackpot in Friday’s EuroMillions draw, there was no winner, which means that the amount of €101 million will now roll over for the next draw to be held on Tuesday, August 30th.
Friday night’s EuroMillions draw was a big night for players in Ireland as there were 66,000 people who walked away with different prizes.
Friday’s draw
Even though there was no winner for the large jackpot, there were 9 players from Ireland who were able to pick a prize of €5,000 each.
The winning raffle ticket that was worth €1 million was bought in Ireland and its code was I-NDJ-62913. The ticket was sold to a player from Kildare.
A spokesperson for the National Lottery said that the night was a big one for Irish players, as someone would be waking up the next day to find out that they have become the latest millionaire in the EuroMillions.
As far as the main draw is concerned, the winning numbers were 22, 23, 25, 38 and 44. 11 and 12 were Lucky Star numbers.
The main EuroMillions draw saw a lucky player from Ireland take home a prize of €143,631, as the player managed to match the five main numbers as well as the bonus.
The winner was based in Dublin and had chosen to play online, with players across the capital asked to check their numbers.
It was a quick pick ticket that had been bought on the day of the draw.
Ireland-Only draw
The Ireland-only draw had also been held on August 26th and there were a total of 93 players who were able to win €2,000 each after matching four numbers.
