The Wednesday night’s draw of the SA lotto has a whopping jackpot of around R65 million up for grabs.
According to Ithuba, the National Lottery Operator, the jackpot has not been won in quite some time and has rolled over about 21 times in total.
Last jackpot
The lottery operator disclosed that the last time the jackpot had been won was back in June. As far as the year’s jackpot wins are concerned, there are a total of 11 people who have managed to win the grand prize so far.
Charmaine Mabuza, the chief executive of Ithuba, said that this particular draw of the SA lotto could see then 12th jackpot winner announced.
The operator went on to remind lottery players that all winnings are tax free and free trauma counseling is provided to winners of R50,000 or higher.
In addition, they are also able to access the services of accredited financial advisers and can get advice from them free of cost.
According to the CEO, the National Lottery Operator is proud of the multimillionaires that they have managed to create since they obtained a license to provide their services in 2015.
He added that they encourage everyone to take advantage of the opportunity to participate in their favorite game in order to enjoy the chance of winning.
Previous winner
Ithuba also said this week that they were still looking for the winner from the Northern Cape, who had managed to win the R8.9 million Lotto Plus 2 jackpot.
The National Lottery Operator disclosed that the winner belonged to a small agricultural town called Garies.
The winner had participated in the draw on August 10th and had managed to win a prize of R8 913 492.90.
They had purchased the lucky ticket at OK Grocer.
