The lottery officials have confirmed that it is the tenth time in a row that the Florida Lotto has hit a record-breaking fiscal year. As per the officials, the Florida Lotto has achieved $9.07 billion worth of sales in the entire fiscal year of 2020-21.
The lottery officials have confirmed that from sales worth $9.07 billion, it is aiming to dedicate over $2.2 billion for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) for the state of Florida.
The Florida Lottery officials have confirmed that the $2.2+ billion contributions for the fiscal year 2020-21 are the record-highest achieved by the lottery team for EETF. With the latest achievement, the Florida Lotto has managed to break all previous records for the contribution to the EETF.
Ever since the launch of the Florida Lotto, it has been striving to increase the value of contributions for educational purposes as much as possible. Fortunately, every year, the Florida Lotto is able to set a new record for the sales as well as the contribution it makes for educational purposes.
John F. Davis, the Florida Lottery Secretary has expressed his joy with the entire Florida Lottery team. He stated that sharing the details of Florida Lotto’s sales and contribution for educational purposes brings him great joy and satisfaction.
He stated that it is a proud moment for the entire Florida Lotto team that they have managed to cross the $2 billion mark for educational purposes in the recent fiscal year of 2020-21.
Davis added that it is something that the Florida Lotto has achieved for the first time. The Florida Lotto has been around for 33-years and for the first time in its entire history, a contribution over $2 billion has been made for educational purposes.
Davis went on to thank everyone who participated in the Florida Lotto initiative and made it a success. He thanked all the employees who dedicated their time and efforts towards achieving the same goal. He also thanked the players of the Florida Lotto for being loyal to the game and never stop playing. In the end, he thanked the retail partners for their contribution and never leaving the Florida Lotto unsupported.
Davis revealed that in the particular fiscal year, Florida Lotto managed to achieve $6.8 billion worth of sales only from scratch-off sales. One particular and major achievement for the Florida Lotto was a single week in which it managed to execute over $239.8 million worth of sales for a particular week. The particular week in which it achieved high sales was the one ending on January 17, 2021.
