There are four Brits who have not come forward as yet to claim their prizes and become millionaires. The National Lottery announced that four ticket holders in the UK have not claimed their prizes worth £1,000,000.

EuroMillions draw

On Friday, February 3rd, 2023, there was a special EuroMillions European Millionaire Maker draw that saw 100 people become millionaires overnight.

Four Brits were lucky enough to land prizes in the special event, but they have not come forward to claim their winnings.

One of the missing UK EuroMillions winners bought the lucky ticket online, while the remaining three purchased their winning tickets in retail.

The National Lottery is urging all EuroMillions players who participated in the event to check their tickets.

The National Lottery

The senior winners’ advisor at the National Lottery, Andy Carter said that all players should check their EuroMillions ticket, or log into their National Lottery account to see if they are the winner.

He said that there were four people out there who were millionaires and did not know about it yet. He stated that they were already assisting the 27 ticketholders who had come forward to claim their prizes.

He added that they were hoping that the handful of winners who had not yet checked their tickets would do so in order to begin enjoying their massive win.

The players have a total of 180 days from the day of the draw to come forward to get their prizes.

In the case of major prizes won in retail i.e. those above £50,000, if the player does not come forward to claim their prize in two weeks, then the National Lottery reveals the area where the winning ticket was bought.

One winner has already made their claim and validated it and it will be up to them to decide if they want to go public, or wish to stay anonymous.

Good year

This draw comes after the Brits had a very successful year playing the EuroMillions, after last year saw the biggest-ever EuroMillions winner from the UK claim their prize.

A mystery player walked off with a whopping £200 million after they became the biggest National Lottery winner.

Before that, a grandfather of eight managed to win a prize of £500,000 in the lottery. He had purchased a Thunderball lucky dip ticket on January 11th in Harlow.

The 65 year old had purchased the ticket after an appointment for his knee replacement and had stopped at Sainsbury to buy it.
