The EuroMillions lottery draw was conducted on Wednesday, February 15th, 2023 and a lucky punter from Ireland managed to bag a rather impressive prize.
The National Lottery is urging all EuroMillions players in Ireland to check their tickets to see if they are the lucky winner.
The draw
The winning numbers that were drawn in the EuroMillions lottery draw on Wednesday night were 24, 26, 38, 43 and 46, while 02 and 03 were the Lucky Star numbers.
No one was able to match all the numbers required for winning the jackpot in the EuroMillions draw, which means it will now roll over to the next.
There were a total of 43,000 players from Ireland who were able to win prizes in the EuroMillions and the EuroMillions Plus draws.
The winners
There was one player from Ireland who was able to match five numbers and a lucky star to land a prize of €147,833.
While the cash windfall is undoubtedly a huge one for the Irish player, they will probably be thinking about what could have been.
Had they been able to match just one more Lucky Star number, they would have landed the EuroMillions jackpot in Wednesday night’s draw, which was around €63,133,766.
As far as the next highest winnings on Wednesday night are concerned, they were secured by ten people who had the EuroMillions raffle tickets.
Each of these players won a prize of €5,000. There were also a total of 58 players who were able to match four numbers and took home a prize of €2,000 each.
The winning numbers for the EuroMillions Plus draw on Wednesday night were 05, 22, 32, 39 and 49.

All of the big winners in the EuroMillions lottery draw on Wednesday night have been advised by the National Lottery to check their tickets to see if they are one of the lucky winners.
Players have been advised to sign their ticket and keep it safe. They are also told to get in touch with the prize claims team via email or phone to get their funds.
