The Irish Lotto draw was conducted on Saturday, February 25th, 2023, which saw a Limerick lotto player become the latest National Lottery millionaire from Ireland in this year.
This is because the lucky player was able to scoop up the massive jackpot in the Saturday night drawing of the Irish Lotto worth €5,604,203.
The draw
The winning numbers that were drawn in Saturday night’s Irish Lotto drawing were 04, 06, 14, 20, 22, 33 and 45 was the bonus number. The winning ticket had been bought online, or through the National Lottery app.
The National Lottery is now urging all online lottery players who played in Limerick to check their tickets to see if they are the winner of the third Lotto jackpot in Ireland for this year.
There were a total of 99,000 players who managed to win prizes in the Lotto as well as the Lotto Plus draws that took place on Saturday night.
This included two players who were able to hit the Match 5 as well as the bonus number, which landed them a prize of €27,537 each.
The winners
One of the winners kicked off their weekend in spectacular fashion after buying the lucky ticket at Dublin Airport from Spar, Terminal 2.
As for the second ticketholder who hit the Match 5 and the bonus ball, they had purchased their winning ticket in Galway from XL Headlines at Corrib shopping Centre.
The end of the previous month had seen a syndicate come forward from County Limerick to claim a prize of more than €11 million, which they had won in the drawing on January 4th.
The group opted to stay anonymous and had bought the Quick Pick ticket in Foynes from Kelly’s Costcutter store, which helped them land a prize of €11,106,438.
The National Lottery
The National Lottery is now calling on all Irish Lotto players to check their tickets to see if they have landed the Match 5 and bonus ball prize of €27,537, or if they have won the €5.6 million jackpot.
The winners have been asked to reach out to the National Lottery’s team via phone, or email, if they have a winning ticket.
A spokesperson for the National Lottery said that it had been an amazing weekend for a Limerick lotto player because it marks the second jackpot win in the Irish lotto for the Treaty.
They also said that Dublin and Galway players should also check their tickets to come forward to claim their prizes.
The Limerick lottery winner would be the ninth millionaire of the National Lottery in this year and the third one to win the Irish Lotto jackpot so far.
