After the Mega Millions drawing on Tuesday night, the $75 million grand prize has gone unclaimed. This means that the jackpot will continue to grow for the next draw to be conducted on Friday. The winning numbers for the Mega Millions drawing that was conducted on February 22nd, Tuesday were 6, 17, 57, 62 and the gold Mega Ball was 3. As for the Megaplier, it was 3X.
The drawing for the $75 million jackpot saw no winners, which had a cash value of $50.2 million. This means that the jackpot is unclaimed and the next Mega Millions drawing will have its jackpot increase to an impressive $87 million. This drawing will be conducted on February 25th, Friday and the jackpot will have a cash option of $58.2 million. The latest drawing did not see any instant millionaires. If a player would have hit a Match 5, they would have been able to walk away with a $1 million prize.
Meanwhile, a prize of $3 million would have been given to ticketholders matching five numbers with the Megaplier. However, the Tuesday night drawing saw 12 winners who were able to walk away with $10,000 each, thanks to the Match 4 plus gold Mega Ball. But, there were also three lucky winners who won $30,000 each because they were able to hit the Megaplier with the Match 4 plus gold Mega Ball. Some of the other wins from Tuesday night’s drawing were ranged between $2 and $1,500.
As opposed to the jackpot drawing on January 28th, the latest one is much smaller. The former helped a ticketholder in Woodland Hills, California to walk away with a grand prize of $426 million. This prize was the first Mega Millions jackpot to be claimed in 2022. Jackpot winners can choose to claim their winnings through an annuity, or a one-time lump sum payment. Winners who go with the annuity option receive one immediate payment and then receive 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year.
