Alvaro Aguilar, a Randolph County man, couldn’t stop celebrating after winning a $1 million lottery prize. The carpet installer won the money by playing the scratch-card game on Platinum 7s level.
The ticket, known to be the lucky one was purchased in Jacksonville at the One Stop Shop on Corbin Street.
He was given a choice to take a $1 million annuity with a lump sum of $600,000 or one that has 20 payments of $50,000 on a yearly basis. He chose the lump sum and got $417,009 after removal of taxes.
