With no one matching all the six numbers in Tuesday night’s Mega Millions jackpot, the grand prize for the next drawing of the lottery has now topped $600 million. The next draw is scheduled to take place on Friday, July 22nd.
Tuesday’s results
The numbers that were drawn in the Mega Millions lottery on Tuesday, July 19th, were 02, 31, 32, 37 and 70, while 25 was the MegaBall and 3X was the Megaplier. The jackpot for the draw had been $555 million.
While the draw did not have any jackpot winners, there were other people who took home prizes in Tuesday night’s drawing. There were four people who managed to match five numbers in the draw and walked away with $1 million each. These lucky ticket holders were based in Arizona, North Carolina, New Hampshire and California.
Friday night’s draw
The jackpot has now rolled over for Friday’s drawing and the additional figure has resulted in a whopping $630 million jackpot that comes with a cash option of $359.7 million. It should be noted that this makes it the fifth-largest jackpot in the history of the Mega Millions lottery.
As a matter of fact, it is also the 12th largest jackpot in any lottery in the United States. There has not been a jackpot winner in the Mega Millions lottery since April 15th. That was the last time someone claimed the jackpot, which was $20 million then. It was also the second jackpot won in a row.
The drawings for the Mega Millions lottery are conducted every Tuesday and Friday and the game can be played in 45 states in the US, along with the District of Columbia and the US Virgin Islands.
