The Mega Millions drawing was conducted on Friday, August 12th that had a jackpot worth $65 million with a cash value of $37.3 million.
The winning numbers for the draw were 23, 24, 50, 54, 64 and 3 was the Mega Ball. 3X was the Megaplier.
Other winners
While there may not have been any winners for the grand prize in Friday night’s Mega Millions drawing, there were a number of smaller monetary prizes that were given out.
A total of six players were able to hit the Match 4 and the Mega Ball, allowing them to walk away with a prize of $10,000 each.
But, only one of these players were able to hit the Match 4, the Mega Ball and the Megaplier, which allowed them to take home $30,000.
As for the other winners of the Mega Millions draw for Friday night, their prizes were between the range of $2 and $1,500.
There were no players who were able to become instant millionaires in the draw.
Jackpot rolls over
Since there has been no winner for the grand prize, it means that the jackpot will now rollover for the next draw to be held on Tuesday, August 16th.
The jackpot for Tuesday night’s drawing has grown to $82 million and it comes with a cash option of $47.1 million.
This latest jackpot of the Mega Millions lottery comes after a lucky player from Kentucky was able to land a prize of $1 million in the draw held on August 5th.
The punter opted to remain anonymous and had bought the Quick Pick ticket worth $20 in Erlanger at a Kroger supermarket.
Initially, the player had gone to the supermarket for checking his ticket, but had been unable to determine its cash value.
Speaking to lottery officials, the players said that he was only informed that the prize was above the cashing limits, so he did not know its value.
Someone from Krogers also informed him that a ticket winning a million had been sold by the supermarket.
He told them that it could be him and then called on the number given on the back of the ticket to confirm his win.
He was able to take home a prize of $710,000 after tax deductions. He plans on purchasing a business with his winnings.
