The Mega Millions lottery jackpot was scheduled for October 4th, Tuesday and it had a jackpot of about $380 million, which came with a cash option of $198.2 million.
No grand prize winners
The winning number that were drawn in the Mega Millions lottery draw on Tuesday night were 15, 18, 25, 33 and 38 with 25 being the gold Mega Ball and 2X was the Megaplier.
Unfortunately, there were no winners for the grand prize on Tuesday night and this means that it will now roll over for the next Mega Millions draw.
The next Mega Millions lottery draw is now scheduled for Friday, October 7th and it will boast a jackpot of a whopping $410 million and it will have a cash value of $213.8 million.
Instant millionaires
Even though Tuesday night did not see anyone take home the jackpot from the Mega Millions lottery draw, there were a number of other winners.
As a matter of fact, there were two lucky players who managed to become instant millionaires on Tuesday because they were able to hit the Match 5.
One of these players was from New Jersey and the other was from Louisiana and they both landed a prize of $1 million each.
Had the two decided to go with the Megaplier option, along with their Match 5 hit, they would have doubled their prize to $2 million.
Other prizes
Other than the two instant millionaires in Tuesday night’s Mega Millions draw, a number of other players also managed to land smaller monetary prizes.
There were a total of eighteen players who were able to hit the Match 4, along with the gold Mega Ball, and this allowed them to walk away with a prize of $10,000 each.
In addition, there were also four lucky players who hit the Match 4, the gold Mega Ball and had also opted to go with the Megaplier option.
This meant that the four of them landed wins of $20,000 each, instead of the standard $10,000. The rest of the prizes that were paid out in Tuesday night’s Mega Millions lottery draw were between $2 and $1,000.
The latest lottery drawing for the Mega Millions sold a total of 720,159 winning tickets at all prize tiers.
Last jackpot winner
There has not been a jackpot winner in the Mega Millions lottery since July 29th, when a lucky player had managed to win a prize of $1.34 billion.
Nonetheless, a total of 11 million winning tickets have been sold for the Mega Millions lottery at all prize levels, with 20 of these winning more than $1 million.
However, none of these wins have been for the jackpot, which continues to grow. The Mega Millions lottery is played every Tuesday and Friday and can be played in 45 states in the US.
