The draw for the Mega Millions lottery took place on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2022, and it had a jackpot of $259 million that came with a cash value of $132.1 million.
No jackpot winner
The winning numbers that were drawn in Tuesday night’s drawing of the Mega Millions lottery were 13, 23, 24, 25 and 43, with 02 being the gold Mega Ball and 3X being the Megaplier.
Unfortunately, none of the players who participated in the Mega Millions Lottery drawing were able to win the impressive jackpot, so it will now be added to the next drawing.
The next draw of the Mega Millions Lottery will now be conducted on Friday, November 25th, 2022 and the jackpot for it will be around $284 million that will have a cash option of $144.8 million.
Other prizes
Even though there were no winners of the grand prize in Tuesday night’s Mega Millions Lottery drawing, there were other players who did bag prizes.
Tuesday night saw one player become an instant millionaire, thanks to the Mega Millions Lottery draw, as the ticket-holder from Florida managed to hit the Match 5 that allowed them to win $1 million.
But, the player missed their opportunity of increasing their winnings to $3 million, which they would have been able to do if they had bought the Megaplier option with their ticket.
Apart from the sole instant millionaire, there were also 18 players who were able to hit the Match 4, along with the gold Mega Ball, which allowed them to win $10,000 each.
There were also five players who were able to hit the Match 4, match the gold Mega Ball and also opted for the Megaplier option with their ticket.
This meant that they were able to win prizes of $30,000 each rather than $10,000 each. The other wins from the Mega Millions lottery drawing on Tuesday night were between $2 and $1,500.
Previous winner
The latest drawing of the Mega Millions lottery comes as a player came forward to claim a prize of $2 million that they had won in the draw that occurred on October 28th.
Hailing from Missouri, the lucky winner had bought their ticket in St. Charles at a Circle K. The winner said that she was going to donate some of her winnings to charity.
Some of the causes she wanted to make donations to included addiction rehabilitation, animal rescues and veteran programs.
She said that it was an excellent opportunity for her to be able to give back and she didn’t want to be the only one to benefit from her lottery win.
The Mega Millions lottery drawings are held twice in a week, every Tuesday and Friday, and is available in 45 states in the US, the District of Columbia and the Virgin Islands.
