The Mega Millions Lottery drawing was conducted on Friday, October 28th, 2022 and it had a jackpot worth $64 million that came with a cash option of about $31.5 million.
No jackpot winner
The winning numbers in Friday night’s drawing of the Mega Millions lottery were 04, 18, 31, 53 and 69, with 07 being the Mega Ball and 2X was the Megaplier.
Unfortunately, there were no winners for the jackpot in Friday night’s drawing and this means that the prize will now roll over to the next draw.
The upcoming Mega Millions lottery draw is now scheduled to take place on Tuesday, November 1st, 2022 and it will have a jackpot of $87 million.
Instant millionaires
Even though there were no winners for the grand prize in Friday night’s Mega Millions lottery draw, there were three players who were able to become instant millionaires.
This is because the three of them were able to hit the Match 5, which saw them win a prize of $1 million each.
But, two of the players had also opted to play the Megaplier and this allowed them to double their winnings to $2 million each.
The first player who did not choose the Megaplier was from West Virginia, while the ones who did belonged to Florida and Missouri.
Other prizes
There were a lot of other players who managed to bag small monetary prizes in Friday night’s drawing of the Mega Millions lottery.
18 players were able to hit the Match 4 as well as the gold Mega Ball, which helped them take a prize of $10,000 each.
There were also four people who hit the Match 4, the gold Mega Ball and also opted to use the Megaplier option, which meant that their winnings doubled to $20,000 each.
As for the other prizes that were won in the Mega Millions lottery on Friday night, they were between $2 and $1,000.
Anyone who wins the Mega Millions jackpot has the option of taking a one-time lump sum payment, or they get choose an annuity.
In this case, they will receive a one payment right away and then 29 payments annually, with each increasing by 5%.
The Mega Millions drawing are held every week, on Tuesday and Friday in 45 states, along with the Virgin Islands and the District of Columbia.
In other news, the Powerball lottery jackpot has grown to a massive $825 million, which is the fifth largest prize in the history of the lottery. The drawing is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 29th, 2022.
